Terms of Service
A tranquil agreement establishing our mutual commitments, the immutable nature of delivered correspondence, and legal protections under Philippine law.
Acceptance of Terms, Minimum Age & Parental Vaults
By accessing, registering for, or using the Lettrr application, website, or associated services (collectively, the “Service”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
Age Floor (13+): The Service is not directed toward or intended for children under thirteen (13) years of age. You represent and warrant that you are at least thirteen (13) years of age.
Parental Vault Clause: If you are between thirteen (13) and seventeen (17) years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you may only access the Service under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. Parents and legal guardians who establish or administer a “parental vault” or create accounts on behalf of their minor dependents assume full and exclusive legal and financial responsibility for all correspondence dispatched, uploaded media, and compliance with these Terms. Furthermore, parents and guardians are permitted to preserve Keeps and epistolary archives of and for their minor children under thirteen (13) within their own parental vault accounts under sole parental ownership and liability, without violating child data privacy provisions.
The Epistolary Model & Delivered Gift Immutability
Lettrr is modeled upon the historical epistolary tradition. Correspondence is created through private Keeps, curated into Lettrrs, sealed with aesthetic stationery choices, and dispatched to intended recipients via direct Mailbox delivery or time-limited claim links.
Delivered Gift Immutability: Upon redemption and claim of a Lettrr by a recipient, the dispatch is permanently designated as a “Delivered Gift.” Once a Delivered Gift enters the recipient’s Mailbox, it irrevocably becomes part of that recipient’s personal correspondence archive. Senders acknowledge and agree that:
- Delivered Gifts are immutable and cannot be recalled, amended, retracted, or deleted from the recipient’s Mailbox by the sender.
- The subsequent closure or purge of the sender’s account shall not delete, alter, or remove Delivered Gifts previously received by others (governed further by Clause 9).
- Claim links that remain unclaimed expire automatically after thirty (30) days in accordance with our retention protocols.
Archival Warranty Disclaimer & Independent Backup Duty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS-IS” AND “AS-AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Archival Disclaimer: While Lettrr strives to provide a durable and tranquil sanctuary for personal correspondence, Lettrr disclaims any warranty of perpetual digital preservation, uninterrupted uptime, or data infallibility. Storage infrastructure, data centers, networks, and software systems remain susceptible to unforeseen corruption, hardware degradation, catastrophic force majeure events, or technical failure.
User Backup Duty: You agree that you bear sole and exclusive responsibility for retaining independent offline or secondary backups of all irreplaceable Keeps, photographs, videos, and epistolary drafts. Lettrr provides an Archival Export utility within Sanctuary Settings to facilitate personal offline archiving. Lettrr shall have no liability for data degradation, loss of content, or inability to access preserved records.
Acceptable Conduct & Sanctuary Integrity
You agree to use Lettrr in a manner consistent with its purpose as an intimate, respectful correspondence medium. In using the Service, you agree not to:
- Dispatch unsolicited promotional campaigns, bulk solicitations, spam, or chain correspondence.
- Harass, stalk, threaten, defame, impersonate, or intimidate any person.
- Upload, store, or transmit content that is obscene, unlawful, promotes child sexual abuse or exploitation, or infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to bypass security controls, reverse-engineer proprietary algorithms, extract database records, or launch automated scraping routines.
- Repeatedly dispatch correspondence to recipients who have requested suppression or severed contact.
Intellectual Property & DMCA Safe Harbor Procedure
Your Content: You retain full copyright and all proprietary ownership rights in and to the text, images, videos, audio cues, and media that you upload or write on the Service (“User Content”). You grant Lettrr only a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license solely to host, cache, encode, reproduce, and transmit your User Content to the extent strictly necessary to operate the Service and deliver correspondence to your chosen recipients.
DMCA Notice-and-Takedown Procedure: Lettrr respects intellectual property rights and adheres to the safe harbor provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and applicable copyright conventions under Philippine law. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and made accessible in a manner that constitutes infringement, please submit a formal notification to our Designated Copyright Agent at:

Limitation of Liability & Exclusion of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LETTRR, ITS OPERATORS, FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Governing Law, Dispute Ladder & Class Action Waiver
Governing Law & Local Dispute Venue: These Terms and any claim, controversy, or dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be governed by, construed, and enforced exclusively in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The exclusive judicial or arbitral forum shall be situated within Metro Manila, Philippines.
Mandatory 30-Day Informal Negotiation Ladder: Prior to filing any claim, lawsuit, or arbitration against Lettrr, you agree to submit a detailed written statement of your dispute to support@lettrr.app. Both parties agree to engage in informal, good-faith negotiations for a minimum period of thirty (30) days from the date notice is received before initiating formal proceedings.
Binding Individual Arbitration: If the dispute is not resolved during the 30-day informal negotiation period, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by individual arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. (PDRCI) or under Republic Act No. 9285 (Alternative Dispute Resolution Act of 2004). The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Metro Manila, Philippines.
Class Action Waiver: YOU AND LETTRR AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF, CLASS REPRESENTATIVE, OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
Automatic Corporate Assignment
Lettrr reserves the right to assign, delegate, or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, along with all associated rights, licenses, operations, and obligations, to any future registered corporate entity, subsidiary, affiliate, or successor-in-interest (whether through incorporation, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale).
Such corporate assignment shall take effect automatically upon execution between Lettrr and the successor entity without requiring supplemental affirmative assent, execution, or notice to users. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights granted hereunder without Lettrr’s prior written authorization.
Account Purge & Surviving Covenants
Account Purge Mechanics: You may close and purge your account at any time via Sanctuary Settings. Purging an account irrevocably erases your private Keeps, unsent drafts, and personal address book. In accordance with the Delivered Gift model, correspondence that has already been claimed by recipients remains in those recipients’ Mailboxes with sender attribution anonymized to “A Loved One.”
Surviving Clauses: All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should reasonably survive termination shall survive, including without limitation Clause 3 (Archival Disclaimer), Clause 5 (Intellectual Property), Clause 6 (Limitation of Liability & Damages Waiver), Clause 7 (Governing Law & Arbitration), Clause 8 (Corporate Assignment), and this Clause 9.
